Meghan Markle și Prințul Harry încep o nouă viață miercuri, 1 aprilie 2020. Oficial, începând cu această dată nu mai sunt membrii ai Casei Regale Britanice.

Meghan și Harry și-au luat rămas bun de la fanii lor de pe Instagram, luni, cu o postare în care le mulțumește pentru sprijin și implicarea în proiectele derulate de ei până acum. Totodată, cei doi le-au cerut oamenilor să-și unească forțele pentru a învinge pandemia de coronavirus.

Ducii de Sussex devin, începând cu ziua de miercuri, persoane private, în afara Familiei Regale. 

Purtătorul lor de cuvânt a declarat că de acum ei vor fi reprezentați de firma de PR de la Hollywood – Sunshine Sachs. Totodată, biroul lor din Palatul Buckingham se va închide azi.Un singur membru al staf-ului lor de la Palat, James Holt, a fost păstrat de duci, iar acesta îi va reprezenta în Regat.
